The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) will be officially implemented on December 30, 2025, covering commodities produced on land not affected by deforestation after December 31, 2020, and imposing strict due diligence requirements on companies importing or trading related commodities, including soy, cattle, rubber, palm oil, wood, cocoa and coffee, ensuring that these products are not associated with deforestation activities. EUDR is an important measure for the EU to address global deforestation, aiming to reduce the circulation of deforestation commodities and promote global forest protection and sustainable development through market access restrictions and supply chain management. The implementation date of mandatory compliance obligations for large and medium-sized enterprises has been postponed to December 30, 2026, and the implementation date of mandatory compliance obligations for micro and small enterprises has been postponed to June 30, 2027.
