Course Introduction
ISO 26262 is derived from IEC 61508, the basic functional safety standard for electrical, electronic and programmable devices. It is mainly positioned in the automotive industry for specific electrical devices, electronic equipment, programmable electronic devices and other components specially used in the automotive field, and is an international standard that can effectively improve the functional safety of automotive electronic and electrical products. With the official release of the second edition of the ISO 26262 standard in 2018, the industry pays more attention to road vehicle functional safety, and the scope of the standard is broader, especially for new energy vehicles, whose core electronic controllers have relatively high ASIL levels. The ISO 26262 standard has gradually become a necessary requirement in the industry, and has basically become an industry mandatory standard in Europe and the United States.
