Course Introduction
Under the automotive industry's quality management requirements of "zero defects, low variation, strong prevention," SPC statistical process control is no longer just a statistical tool for drawing control charts, but an important quality management method connecting process knowledge, data analysis, control plans, APQP/PPAP, mass production process monitoring and continuous improvement. The AIAG-VDA SPC manual was jointly developed by AIAG and German VDA, aiming to provide a unified and coordinated SPC application method for the global automotive supply chain, helping enterprises conduct process control and capability evaluation more consistently during new project introduction, mass production ramp-up and continuous production stages. The new AIAG-VDA SPC manual emphasizes translating statistical concepts into executable implementation frameworks, covering SPC deployment, production preparation, APQP and PPAP activities, and strengthening the connection between process knowledge, statistical analysis and control plan execution. This course adopts a method of "standard understanding case analysis Minitab software practice on-site application discussion." Minitab can be used for quality data analysis scenarios such as control charts, process capability analysis and real-time SPC, supporting learners to judge whether processes are in control, whether process capability meets requirements, and how to identify special cause variation through actual data.
